Thierry. Posted February 28, 2007 There was an article in the economist that talked about the richest countries in the world GDP wise. You are right Bermuda came on top. But the reason behind it is that Wealthy individuals and Multinational Corporations use it as tax haven, Bermuda along with Cyprus, Cayman Islands is well known for their offshore financial systems, perhaps this could explain the reason why it has become so successful in attracting foreign direct investment.
