Organ theft in UK Hospitals

Organ theft is more then urban legends. and there are numerous ways this crime is being perpetrated around the world.

 

In my city street children are most subject to this sort of theft.

 

in Brazil kidnapping minors and surgically removing organs like eyes and kidneys while leaving the victims alive.

 

In Somalia Kidnapping physically or mentally disabled people, and then killing them in order to cannibalize their organs to be sold at a high price on the black market. which explains the mystery of them people disappearing lately!!

 

 

there was this Somali brother who you used to live in the neighborhood where i live, we even played football together, one evening after the game he told us he is not coming tomorrow for the game because of minor surgery he was going to do, he said he had Hemorrhoids which he needed to be removed.

 

the following day some friends went to check on him and they were told he didn't made it! they Speed Up the Process of burying the body. it was so quick. which made so suspicious.

 

there was another man who had his kidney stolen in Cairo when he was undergoing operation back in the 90s.

i have many stories regarding this issue. one was recent. a somali women who was healthy, just recently came from somalia. she was fine, not even a headache, and she visited her GP for a check up. when they he saw her, he said to her you are obese and your heart is too weak, therefore need operation. when she had her op, she died straight away, but they lied to her family by saying that she was ok and the op wnt smooth even though her eyes were glued shut ordered by the Dr. after a week they eventually admitted she died days ago and was allowed to be buried. the part were i believe this story was true is the day she was going to be admitted, she was fine, she as walking and talking and even said i dont feel a slightest pain. but the hospital ordere to send ambulance to her home to pick her up.

 

i also remember my family's friend. she got pregnant but she had mis-carriege. when she was in hospital they took her ovaries out, she only found out after she suffered compilication and long endless pains. she decided to go to private Dr in Germany. they told her her ovaries was taken out and many of her illnesses, she came back sued the hospital and was given £40,000. in court she was told her Dr sold her ovaries to this white lady for over £80,000. even after the truth came out, the hospital benefited from her ovaries.

 

another is a man who told our family he's experience he had with the Drs in London. he had non stop pains from he's chest and they said to him you need operation. on the day of he's op, he was in a room on he's own. whilst waiting for he's op because they said to him to wait for 2days in patient. as he was in he's room he decided to get a drink from the vending machine on the end of the ward. as he was walking he came across this white man who was sitting on the chairs, they sat beside each other and after talking for a while. the white man said i'm visiting my dad who's in hospital he's having op tommorow, he's getting a new kidney. they said is from healthy young in he's earlier 30's african male. the somali man was shocked to hear. for some weird reason he thought they meant him, a he fitted the descripeton. he got up, went to he's room, got he's things and run out.

 

is scary world out there these days. people pay thousands for organs. somali women should take extra care when going to hospitals. these people have realised that somalis are one of the healthiest people in the world. their women skinny or fat have healthy organs, their man also. these days people pay thousands for ovaries. what they noticed is that somali women are popping babies, healthy babies every year where as some or even most white women would die for one baby. somali women should never go to hospital on her own.

Sad but undeniably true. I have heard and know of one particular court case that is being investigated involving a Somali woman and the theft of a kidney in London. These are far from paranoid delusional fabrications believe me.

I heard this same story too.

 

I think the problem is one of miscommunication and misunderstanding. One of the consultants I work with was vilified and sued by a Somali man and his family for removing a kidney. The patient (Somali man) is saying there was nothing wrong with his kidney and he was not told it is being removed. The consultant is saying both I, the anesthetist, and the register explained the procedure to the patient and he signed and consent form. In addition the reason he had a complete nephrectomy is because he had renal cancer involving the whole left kidney, so he is kidney was not fine and here is the histology to prove it. To make a long story/ case short (it was going on for almost 2/3 yrs), while the case has been going on, the man’s cancer came back and spread, now involving his remaining kidney, liver and pancreases. His family has since dropped the case and last I knew he was on his death bed, the cancer too advanced to be treated. Subxanallah.

 

The doctor who heads the renal unit is a really nice guy, but he's been the subject of some commotion from a Somali families. To the point where now he sends Somali patients on to one of the junior doctors, because he is so scared about the problems they make for him. He often tells me he likes Somali people, apart from when they are his patients because they are so paranoid.

the above statement is the general belief somalida badankood aaminsan yihiin. i admit there are cases of misdiognosis and mistakes being made in the medical profession, but that happens everywhere.

 

i think ninbrown mentioned that in many cases people do not understand the extend of their illnesses and blame the doctors for procedures carried out for which they clearly signed the consent forms.

 

best advise, dont sign anything unless you understand. i have clients that sign forms of authorities without understanding, sometimes they tick all the boxes, sometimes they leave it blank and i have to call them, explain what it is and resend the forms.

^^I agree. I think people forget that no matter how helpful and full of advice Consultants/ Drs/ Nurses are they can only advice you, ultimately it’s your body and your decision. No one can force you to do anything.

 

As for organ theft, the stuff I have heard are mostly concerning people who have already died and their organs being removed without the consent of their families.

 

It's not just the patient's job, I think Drs should make sure patients understand them and the procedure clearly before going ahead.

^^Yes but people in our community do not say "I don't understand" They just say "YES" okay and signed the papers. Then complain after the fact. Consultants are always rushed, allocating about 5-10mins to each patient at any given time. Some times patients don't even meet the consultant/ Surgeon till the day of the operation, dealing with his register all the while before, even if they do the consultation cannot last for hours. So it is always handy to have a basic understanding of your condition and take a translator with you. Medical jargon can be difficult for most people to understand.

Im general I have noticed our people dont accept death anymore and think everything has a cure.

 

Topgirl: healthy people can come into hospital and die froma catstrophic event such as a massive blood clot. Regarding the young man and the heart transplant which hospital was it.

 

I think your scaremongering and spreading miscommunication between people. By the way Simalis are not the healthiest people around london, they suffer from amny diseases just like everyone else: TB/Hi blood pressure and diabetes is very common among Somalis and other africans.

 

Ibti: The consultant has ultamate resposibility for his patients when they are seen by junior or senior trainees. So e can run but he cant hide. furthermore, many of our people dont have a basic understanding of their condition.

I know Ibti. I notice a lot of ppl don’t take advice, don’t take medicine as they should and many go to hospital when it’s too late and their were suffering from whatever they were for a very long time.

 

If you are unhappy with the treatment there are grieving procedures.

Lily...its not people dont take adivice, but they take the wrong advice. I had a lady the other day telling me that her friend had similar complaints and wants a camera test, beacuse her friend got better after that test.

 

I never seen this show, when is it on, and is the dr practising in the UK.

North they have some guy Ali Macow or something on Universal TV two days a week. People call him and tell him their problems. Only thing is I cannot figure out what his specialty is, Somalis asking about EVERYTHING. His title is "Doctorka maacadanta" What on earth is maacadant? He has a clinic in West London, moved from Germany to here.

 

A camera test? as in cystoscopy (hang on did you say she thinks a test is a treatment to make her better?)

 

That’s the other problem, what your friends/ family say is more acceptable to them than what a qualified specialist is trying to tell them. It is heblaayo said this or that.

 

It is sad because originally he will give them all his time and deal with the directly, now it is like a flying visits and mass communication via phone/ letters with the junior doctors to keep updated.

As for going to Drs in Germany, if you not happy with NHS why not go privately in the UK?

Private treatment in the UK costs and arm and leg unless you are insured. No way a normal somali person can afford it.

 

I thought he was a general physician or something, but I’ve seen him tell people to come and see him about wide ranging disease from infertility to liver disease to urological problems, and seems to treat both children and adults. He cannot be consultant who deals with all those things, so I am think maybe his clinic hosts a range of specialist, either that or it is a diagnostic centre.

 

I think he is on thursday evenings 7.30pm. Will check as well.
