Aaliyyah Posted June 23, 2009 lol lily aaliya is as much arabic as imtithal. Not much of a difference there anyways am bored today ...someone entertain me
-Lily- Posted June 23, 2009 Yes I know, but Caaliyo/Caaliya is Somali version of it ... I have work building up if I can motivate myself.
Aaliyyah Posted June 23, 2009 caaliya is arabic name and thats how you write it in arabic. Aaliyah is just the english version of it. Theres no somali version at all but yeh somali ppl will probably say caaliyoo (adding o to make it somalinized)... anyways most somali names are arabic..except the very original ones that no one uses lately.. sheherazade Posted June 23, 2009 ^not Northerners. We don't add os to the ends of female names.
-Lily- Posted June 23, 2009 LOL@Sheh, what is it with everyone's need to classify themselves a s certain Somali today?
Aaliyyah Posted June 23, 2009 when you say north? do you mean somalis from the north?lol ...I seen somalis adding both "o" and "ey"...depending on the name I dnt think it has anything to do with where you hail from, in case you forgot am from the north myself... salaam
