STOIC Posted July 25, 2008 ^^^^^Actually her mom, which by the way is my distance aunt, makes the Mandazi, but you know her being old lady she can’t make it every single day! Remember I don’t know you and my name is STOIC and not Abdi or Farax. I’m the heartless, carnal alien from SOL

NGONGE Posted July 25, 2008 Originally posted by cynical lady: Friends, Romans, countrymen, lend me your ears; I come to bury Caesar, not to praise him; The evil that men do lives after them, The good is oft interred with their bones, So let it be with Caesar ... The noble Brutus Hath told you Caesar was ambitious: If it were so, it was a grievous fault, And grievously hath Caesar answered it ... Here, under leave of Brutus and the rest, (For Brutus is an honourable man; So are they all; all honourable men) Come I to speak in Caesar's funeral ... He was my friend, faithful and just to me: But Brutus says he was ambitious; And Brutus is an honourable man…. He hath brought many captives home to Rome, Whose ransoms did the general coffers fill: Did this in Caesar seem ambitious? When that the poor have cried, Caesar hath wept: Ambition should be made of sterner stuff: Yet Brutus says he was ambitious; And Brutus is an honourable man. You all did see that on the Lupercal I thrice presented him a kingly crown, Which he did thrice refuse: was this ambition? Yet Brutus says he was ambitious; And, sure, he is an honourable man. I speak not to disprove what Brutus spoke, But here I am to speak what I do know. You all did love him once, not without cause: What cause withholds you then to mourn for him? O judgement! thou art fled to brutish beasts, And men have lost their reason…. Bear with me; My heart is in the coffin there with Caesar, And I must pause till it come back to me One of the best fictional speeches EVER. William Shakespeare rocks, man. Ibtisam Posted July 25, 2008 I went to an event today where Abdirahman Dheere the Chief negotiator for the Alliance of the Re-Liberation of Somalia made an complete utter idoi*t of himself. I no longer support Somalia, former ICU, or any of the people/ factions fighting over Somalia. I hate them all, every single one of them. I've never been so angry and disappointed. I was so angry at times I wanted to chew my arm off. I don't want to know about Somalia ever again, it will never be, nor will it ever get better in the coming future while the best of what they have to offer is what I saw today. I have embraced the fact that I will never see a better Somalia, there is no such thing, it is doomed. I'm now going to find a new focus in life, a new direction far away from Somalia and Somalis. I'm going to use my effort and energy on something which benefits me. I am going to be selfish, I'm going to look out for number one. I never realized that deep inside I hoped or dreamed things will get better. That there maybe peace and prosperity one day. But now I've decided that day will never come. This evening a new Ibtisam entered this world, and she is far removed from the old one. I am me now and I really don’t care. Goodbye.
Baluug Posted July 26, 2008 ^What exactly did he say that turned you away? Now is not the time for people to be taking sides, now is the time to come together and talk out our differences, Somalia has suffered long enough. Keep up hope, Ibti, don't give up. What goes up, must come down and conversely, what goes down, must eventually come back up. This can't go on forever.
