Juxa, the Consultants who spend lots of time on legal issues/ cases/ courts/ opinions etc, do not get much practice outside in the medical world, miss some of the latest updates on procedures/ risks of drugs and as such are only part time practitioners. Hey Arch any update?, yesterday i was playing with my three year old niece by turning her into a human airplane, all of sudden i felt this sharp pain in the lower leftside of my chest and i was forced to put her down. I had to pretend nothing was wrong in front of my niece, so we played lie-on-your leftside-with one hand on your chest-game, she didn't like it, neither did I.

 

What the hell is that man? I get this like once every three months, i'm also not a fan of hospitals but i prefer that scary place to a mortuary.

This morning as I stood on the crowded train, I had a severe sharp pain on the left side, just above my rip cage. It was so painful I bent over and started to sit down on the carriage floor, someone jumped up and gave me a seat. Then I panicked, oh my god I’m dying, and on a crowded train too I thought, I’m going to be one of those corpse that stay in the fridge for ages while they locate my family! Then I was counting my most recent sins and freaked out even more!

 

After about 5mins, the pain in my chest subsided, but my shoulder and left side of my head started hurting. An hour later, I only have a dull ache on the left side of my head, but it seems to be settling.

I had lunch with one of the consultants and told them how I nearly died today. He assures me that he thinks I just got trapped air in the pipes and that it happens to some people but not dangerous, but he said the duration was too long for it to be anything else, I should only worry if the pain lasts for less than 1min or so.

and here I was sending you research opportunitites in the ME! Keep an eye on it. I had one of those a long time ago while in bed and thought I was dying too. Youth does that to you.

Psycho i'm seeing a specialist neurologist tomorrow. so i'll let you know what they say. Even though i was complaining about chest pains my GP saw fit to refer me to a neurologist as i failed some tests of hers. Had blood tests done and all came back normal, except for one which i'm supposed to go and see the GP about. I'm told is nothing major. Just have to go see her and see what it was.
