Motion to replace head of upper house of Somalia Cabdi Xaashi from Gabiley, Somaliland region underway

Not gonna happen: For starters the Senate is not like the lower house and the official term of the executive and legislature (both houses) comes to an end later in the year.

I foresee Xaashi hanging on, even after the elections where the political stakeholders still all have to iron out their differences before it takes place.
