Suldaanka Posted June 17, 2020 Somaliland has already got few wins even before the talks started. One key sticking point was the decriminalisation of Political contacts between the two sides. In exchange of that, Somaliland demanded to for Somalia to support Somaliland's access to IGAD, AU and United Nations. This way Somaliland is able to challenge Somalia at International Forums where it is now unable to. A fair trade. But as usual, Somalia refused. And Somaliland refused too. Xaaji Xunjuf Posted June 17, 2020 No the koonfurians wanted politicians to have free pass to visit the 2 countries. That's a no go zone. I am glad though the talks collapsed no more wasting of time. Now the ball is in the court of the international community to come with solutions. On this dead lock the biggest conflict in the region Somaliland vs Somalia. LOOL Somaliland waxay shirka la timid in Heshiisyaddi hore loo saxeexay in aan waxba laga badalin oo sidoodi u dhaqan galo. Dawladda Djibouti iyo Beesha Caalamku waa ayidsanyihiin sidaa. No longer is it just few men from Hargeisa and Mogadishu sitting in a conference room. It is now all the IC members as well as regional governments that are interested in this region in the room. Mogadishu has zero leverage on the discussions table. They are trying deparately to use Foreign Donations as a leverage.
