Are the crystals that are said to form in the brain in Alzheimer's related to cysts?

If not, what do those crystals form out of and why?

I'll give the answer to your first question, don't want to show off by answering both questions.

Are the crystals that are said to form in the brain in Alzheimer's related to cysts?

The answer is "No those crystals are not related to cysts".

You're welcome.

You're welcome.

And yet, here you are...

Those crystals are amyloid plaques in Alzheimers.

Cysts, on the other hand, can be filled with just about anything.

Technically speaking, Alzheimer's can't be truly diagnosed until the autopsy when the plaques are seen. Otherwise it is just extreme dementia. Thankfully (?), Alzheimer's has other symptoms that go with the plaques in the brain that have a more overt manifestation, so the clinical diagnosis is almost always correct.
