Man poisons wedding guests in Somaliland

Authorities in the breakaway Somali republic of Somaliland have arrested a man for poisoning dozens of guests at his younger brother's wedding.

 

Ambe Abdillahi Omer, 39, apparently poisoned sweets he handed out at Saturday's celebration near the Ethiopian border, and also put poison in water jugs and on eating utensils.

 

The local chairman of Faraweine, Hassan Mohamed Abdirahman, said one of Omer's brothers and a sister had died. Omer's mother and four other people were seriously ill in hospital.

 

"He distributed about 200 poisoned candies to all who participated in the ceremony," Abdirahman told reporters. "It is a miracle that the bride and bridegroom are safe."

 

The chairman said Omer had confessed to trying to kill as many people as possible, and said he had no regrets. The motive behind the attack remained unclear, the official said.

If you have evil plan there are a lot of toxin sources you can attain both from plant material and animal toxins like snake venoms. After all we have one of the deadliest snakes in africa known as black mamba and in somali lingo Goot. There is also plant somalis called Dhuunkal which has very poisonous resin and this is just to name few and forget about other imported toxins used for tick repellants for livestock. By the way some toxins you only need few micro grams to kill 100 or so person. For instance a bite of a black mamba can kill 20 grow ups and imagine if you killed the snake and mixed his juice with Vimto or other tasty beverages how many people you can kill..

I took a course on this issue some few years back ,, .... walaahi some poisons can be made from the food we eat everyday.
