PUNTLAND POSTPONES SECONDARY SCHOOL LEAVING EXAMINATIONS

Garowe (PP News Desk ) — Puntland Ministry of Education has postponed secondary school leaving examinations until 27 June 2020 due to Covid-19. Examinations were planned to take place on 30th of May.

Puntland Minister for Education Abdullahi Mohammed Hassan urged teachers and educational managers to help pupils avail themselves of online learning opportunities to cover the remainder of the school syllabi and follow health guidelines to prevent spread of Covid-19.

Puntland State will adminster secondary school leaving examinations different from examinations prepared and adminstered by the Federal Ministry of Education.

Puntland Ministry of Education is planning to put in place a system that will enable invigilators to observe social distancing and other procedures to prevent the spread of novel Coronavirus during examination days.
