Deeq A. Posted May 17, 2020 Hargeisa (PP News) — The Somaliland Committee for the Prevention of Covid-19 issued yesterday a statement to end the moratorium on khat imports from Ethiopia. Somaliland Vice President, Sayli’i, is the Chairan of the Committee for Covid-19 Prevention The committee published guidelines that khat sellers will comply with. From today (Sunday ) Khat sellers will have to abide by the following strict procedures to be able to sell khat in Somaliland: Two-metre space between two persons selling khat. Khat sellers must wear a face mask. They must keep hand sanitasers handy. Khat sellers must have fever detection devices to check the temperatures of the staff before business starts. Buyers should observe two-metre space social distancing rule. Khat chewers must not meet at majlises (khat chewing sessions).
