NICOLAS BERLANGA: SOMALIS CAN COUNT ON EU

Mogadishu (PP News Desk) —The European Union Ambassador to Somalia  Mr Nicolas Berlanga has  reaffirmed the EU’s commitment to helping Somalis work towards peaceful resolution of political problems.

Speaking on the occasion of Europe Day, which was marked on 9th of May, the EU Ambassador to Somalia reiterated the significance of relations between Somalia and the European Union.

Nicolas Berlanga: EU is in favour of peaceful resolution of conflicts

“The Somali people can count on the European Union for any effort in favour of peaceful resolution of conflicts. We are very happy that you are with us here today to celebrate with us Europe Day” Mr Berlanga said.

The EU is major partner of Somalia. It contributes to peacekeeping budget and institutional building in Somalia.
