Number of coronavirus related deaths in Somalia climbs to 32

On Monday, the Somali health ministry has confirmed 9 more deaths from COVID-19, increasing the total death toll to 32, most of them died in the capital Mogadishu.

In a statement, the ministry has announced the victims were brought to Martini hospital too late to save their lives by the private hospitals in Mogadishu.

Somalia’s Covid-19 cases rose to 436 after health officials recorded 46 people who contracted the virus within the past 24 hours.

The government is making tireless efforts to contain the spread of the coronavirus that is risking the lives of the citizens already suffering from decades of droughts and conflict.
