Mogadishu mayor addresses protesters in the capital

Mogadishu Mayor Omar Filish delivered a speech to protesters in the capital on Saturday during a rally against the murder of two civilians by a policeman on Friday night.

Filish has called for calm and assured the public that the killer will be brought to justice.

During the demonstration, the angry protesters have burned down tyres on the streets and marched along a road at the presidential palace to show their rejection of police brutality.

The security forces have detained the policeman following the shooting with reports that he is currently being questioned at custody.
