Deeq A. Posted April 10, 2020 Garowe (PP) — The Transitional Puntland Electoral Commission has extended the period for meeting the criteria to become a fully registered political association. In March TPEC publicised names seventeen political associations that have temporarily met the criteria to become a registered political organisation in Puntland. TPEC urged political organisations to fulfill the rest of the criteria by the end of April. TPEC: Political organisations should not hold meetings with the public In a statement shared with the media yesterday, TPEC extended the deadline to the end of June 2020 in response to health emergency caused by Covid-19. TPEC instructed political organisations not to hold meetings with the public.
