Somaliland has acquired an advanced COVID19 Diagnostic Lab from Taiwan along with testing kits.

This Lab will help return test results within 60 seconds as opposed to the 4-5 day return trip from Nairobi which is how it is done at the moment.

So far only South Korean method seems complete success. Copy that and can't go wrong.

Oodweyne,

I think culture is decisive in this. The difference between Italians and Koreans was culture.

Japanese have lost a lot of their culture of the old and now are already into state of emergency...talking like western country.

I would hate this to go to India with their caste system, enmity to Muslims by current regime..etc.

I love it when Somaliland is making the rest of us look like either we do not know the seriousness of the situation or we have no clue what to do where to start.

We can't even brag about herd immunity since we are cowards.

May Allah (swt) help the poor nomad.

As for Somaliland, thank you for making the Somali part of the world.

  • Thanks 3

Somaliland Goverment will fund $50 cash transfer to 60,000 of the most vulnerable house holds around the country.

The Business Community will fund 1.5 million dollars and Somaliland Gov't will match that with $1.5 making a total of 3 million dollars each calendar month. Making the funds 100% locally funded.

This co-contribution partnership between Gov't and Business leaders will continue as long as the conditions for COVID19 exists in the country.

They should also set up a diaspora ZAAD and e-Dahab accounts where those of us outside the country can directly transfer money.
