How to get an energy boost at work

Recommended Posts

Well, it happens sometimes that i'm just plain lazy and can do nothing. My desk is full, papers all over, reports to prepare and emails to be reponded but i'm just here sitting, watching all this like a movie and can't even grap a single paper on my desk.

Some days i'm even more than active and within the first hour in my office, everything is done and nothing has left for the day.

I've been wondering what is the difference between the two days ,,,, wanted to get some solutions for those days where i'm being so lazy. I tried Redbull, Wellman and other energizers. I tried Coffee/Tea. I tried green tea. Nothing worked.

Then i had to accept the fact that this is normal and it happens to probably every human being and i decided to live with it doing what i can do when i'm active and stay on my chair when i'm a plain lazy fool,,,, looooool ,,

Do you have any idea about this situation and how one can get over it ???? ,,, care to share ???

Thanks ,

I found some tips on one site today and not sure how it works ,,,,, wanted to share it with you.

Step 1:

Take a break!!! Many of us do not take breaks, which can cause stiffness from sitting all day (if that is the type of job you have), headaches (from looking at a computer for 8 hrs), and all around brain meltdown! Stand up...stretch a little, remove yourself from your desk!

Step 2:

Have a snack. Taking a minute to refuel should include a quick snack. It will boost your energy level. Eating small amounts frequently throughout the day is also a great way to boost metabolism and lose weight. Make it healthy! Pack celery sticks, have a yogurt, some crackers with peanut butter, applesauce...you get the idea. Wolfing down a quick donut will not only hurt your metabolism, it will give you a sugar rush that will die down very quickly, and leave you more tired than before!

Step 3:

Have a cup of green tea, ice water or soothing beverage of your choice. A decaffeinated beverage such as green tea is soothing, healthy, full of antioxidants and will make you feel like you are doing something for yourself! Taking that moment will give you a physical as well as mental break.

Step 4:

Take a walk. A quick spin around the office or outside for 10 - 15 minutes will get you some quick exercise, fresh air, and get your blood pumping. You will really benefit from the energy boost and positive healthy side affects that a daily, quick walking routine can add to your life!
