The European Commission has delayed a final recommendation on whether Bulgaria and Romania should join the EU next year until the autumn. The Commission's report said their entry into the EU could still be delayed until 2008 if they don't show progress on tackling corruption and organised crime. Critics are warning the 25 member state EU is already stretched too far and the door to membership must be closed to new entrants. Should Romania and Bulgaria be allowed to join and what difference will it make to Britain if they do? Tim Whewell investigates. And we'll be speaking to Geoff Hoon in his first television interview as Minister for Europe. ON YER BIKE Another D-Day has finally come.
