Come Learn Somali Posted May 20, 2020 It is depressing hearing some religious folk talk like they can go about business as usual and "god will protect them". No caution whatsoever it seems. As though religion and god shields evil, if it did, the world wouldn't be in the turmoil that it's, where kittens are killed for meowing, and all kinds of evil including people dying from and suffering with this pandemic. To anyone religious, worship all you want, though you also have a responsibility to not recklessly" run towards* wildfire, at least not without PPE and think that god and your religion will save you and others. He told us a few weeks ago he was praying separately from the rest and alone in a masaajid with his prayer mat. Some folks came to him, while he was preparing to start salaadda. They told him he must come to the line since it is sunna. He told them it is ALSO sunna not to spread viral diseases. They did not listen, he reported. Neither did he. So he prayed alone. We told him next time gurigaaga iskaga tuko.

I don't know what is up with people like that, they sound like the type to say, "if your house catches fire while you're praying, don't run, finish praying." No sense whatsoever. I think some of them are actually evil and dumb, knowing that they are not a high risk, though will put those at risk in higher danger than they are in. Some will encourage others to do dangerous things and not actually do it themselves.
