BOB Posted May 3, 2010 Tanzania has rejected a newly appointed Japanese ambassador to the country. The Tanzanian Permanent Secretary in the president's office sent a refutation letter to the Japanese Prime Minister early today. In the brief letter, the Permanent Secretary expressed his apology that the newly appointed ambassador will not be allowed to take the post in Tanzania or any Kiswahili-speaking country for that matter due to the contradictions that were best not published because of the repercussions that will be caused in the Swahili speaking society. However, The Permanent Secretary added that the issue should not be taken as a personal matter and that the ambassador will be allowed to serve the post in Tanzania if he did something about the problem-his surname to be precise. But there is more to it than just the Envoy’s surname. The ambassador, Mr. Takauchi Kumamoto and his wife Kunyamavi Kayashika were expected to arrive in Dar es Salaam this weekend. We have also been reliably informed that their son, Master Kisigino Takonono and their daughter, Miss Nikishuta Nitahara were expected to join them once the spring holidays are over. Among the entourage for the new envoy included his chauffeur Mr. Jinogumu Tingisika, his Chef, Ms. Pajazito Nitagusa, his Masseur, Mr. Mishipa Vutasana and his Valet, Ms. Kijitako Shikamana were also eagerly looking forward to their stay in Bongoland! PS. It's absolutely, most definitely and utterly shame if you do not understand Kiswahili because you have no idea what you've just missed out. lol Peace, Love & Unity. Maxaatiri Posted May 3, 2010 I wonder how many variations of this same joke there are. The one I'd heard was a visit to the school...from the (real) University of Kumamoto in Kumamoto Japan.and the guy on the Telecom apparently couldnt bring himself to say the names out loud. This one is far too elaborate to be real, but very funny nonetheless. I love the name 'Kunyamavi Kayashika'
