Who would tolerate our beliefs and appreciate our presence in the country, as a minority, is one major consideration. We have elected the first Muslim in the US congress not because that we believed he would change ways of Washington and its foreign policy practices but many of us thought he would at least lessen the negative sentiments against Muslims and prejudices out there in America’s conservative cycles! Obama, we believe, represents a needed change from the arrogant and divisive policies that marked Bush’s presidency. edit: One must appreciate the value of having a man whose middle name is Hussein as US president. BOB Posted October 24, 2008 I heard you my brother LOUD & CLEAR and I understand where you're coming from...I have Brothers & Sisters in the U.S too and of course their wellbeing means everything to me but the truth of the matter is Somalia is my home and always will be and personally speaking in this moment of time I only got time for whichever leader that sees, hears and listens to my plight as a Somali whose country has been destroyed by Western agencies be they Somali or non-somali and until the day Obama gives our dues and suspends the 'Operation Destroy Somalia' that US has been carrying out forever then I will give him his dues...fair enough?
