I've been waiting to see halaagii dhacay looma kala harin-another brilliant Somali movie but this film is not yet released. Did any of you watch it/? Chimera Posted March 25, 2009 Oh come on!! you can't be serious, why are they spinning around like a Persian dervish during a fistfight? and the film still has the 'documentary' feel to it. Maybe my standards are too high because i watch on a daily basis true masterpieces produced by the Asian world, but still come on.. I pray one day we will see Somali movies depicting our past like Braveheart(Conquest of Abyssinia),the Lion of the Desert(Sayyid & the Dervishes) or high quality Romances(Qabrigii Jaceylka or Aqoondarro waa u nacab jacayl etc) that's when i will start 'rating' or begin using words like 'brilliant' and 'xaax'. This film is probably stuff my parents would love to see but for me it's pure Horror With all these Somalis owning large estates and hotels all over Africa and the Middle East i'm sure they could finance better equipment and expertise.
