No Somalilander hates Mogadishu because its a city full of Muslims and  Somalis. What we do hate is their politics their dishonestly. And frankly they are liability to our interest in the horn of Africa. There are so many koonfurians who live in Somaliland and live among somalilanders. So there is no problem there.

A child in Addis Ababa is surely closer in terms of distance to Somaliland. It was faisal ali waraabe statement  and when asked he said the following I meant Ethiopia and Somaliland are closer to each other. In terms of trade economy and Somalilanders live on both sides of the border . The same way Kenya and Somalia are close to each other in terms of trade and all of that.  Having said that faisal ali waraabe represents only  what 20 percent of Somalilanders.

Beesha dhexe feels the stability of Mogadishu  is a threat to their existence just like our neighbors.  I was in Hargeisa few years ago and I find them to be much more humble and welcoming than many other Somali clans. Good people.

We are good people and welcoming but we always put our country first for decades we were trapped in a ill conceived union. We have nothing in particular against reer Mogadishu.  Its just politics we can't agree on.

I think you underestimate power of Ethiopia and its plans for the region. They let Eritrea get Independence (24 May 1991) before Somaliland (18 May 1991). Even though Somaliland declared independence before Eritrea, so they could show Somaliland who is boss. They have a bigger prize waiting for them the largest coastline in Africa. Remember the SNM got its funding from the communist government of Ethiopia, which promised SNM if they help bring down Barre they will get a new country. Somalilanders were tricked into poverty and stagnation.
