Chimera Posted December 10, 2007 Well said Ghanima, this topic should be honored with a ''sticky'' (Nomadique's ''Good news about Somalia thread'' aswell) What do you say Admin,LST? let's keep it positive!

NGONGE Posted December 10, 2007 Find The Vanguard, Save the Cheerleader! Still, not bad for a feel-good topic.
Valenteenah. Posted December 10, 2007 ^ Save the Cheerleader, Save Somalia! I heard about that conversation, Ghanima. I heard you and Caano ganged up on Serenity. I was going to beat you both with my dacas the next time I saw you. Not anymore. You're safe from me.
NGONGE Posted December 10, 2007 ^^ What sort of Hero would you have been? I reckon you would be like that mechanic woman that could even hear heartbeats! The dacas is an extra. (nobody can gang up on Serenity, I think she was toying with them).

Nephissa Posted December 11, 2007 Ghanima, I sense your frustration and I am inclined to agree with you. You said: look and cling to the few who are trying to do good, focus you energy on making a difference with them. The problem with this is every person has different ideas of what "making a difference" in Somalia is. For example; My way is to Speak out. Speaking out on what I believe in, and feel are important ie; One Nation, One Somalia, One future! That's the essential first step. Each voice that adds itself to the choir increases it's volume. Silence means acceptance. Something as simple as a post here, or elsewhere on the internet or public act is a political statement. So, see ma dear gari laba nin kama wada qosliso, or something like that.

Now, quit the Norman act ( I say this lovingly ) and expand on why you've reduced her post to a mere feel good topic. Urban What area of art do specialise in? I think art is an effective tool for communicating values, information etc. For instance, I love the way Muhammed Ali utilises his art to give dawah... NGONGE Posted December 11, 2007 If I elaborate I'd have to criticise. I don't want to criticise. It's a well-written feel good topic that does not pretend to be anything but that, ayaayo. ps To use the word 'reduce' implies that feel-good topics are second rate! Not at all, ayaayo. When they're written as well as that they're usually an enjoyable read. (You're forcing me to be nice to Ghanima, now I feel dirty) .....

BOB Posted December 11, 2007 Bravo Bravo Bravo Ghanima... I was beginning to think that I was the only true patriot in SOL who has never made a monkey of himself by blindly "supporting" the chicken business that his tribe get up to... Keep up the good work and don't let that flame die down Insha Allah. Salam Aleikum W.W Peace, Love & Unity.
