Recommended Posts

In 2001, he organized a meeting for doctors in Mogadishu where he announced his plans. At that meeting, he was quoted as saying: “For too long, I’ve waited for the return of a central government that can fulfill its national obligations. But since time is not on my side, I have decided to stop waiting and find a way to transfer my knowledge to the next generation of doctors.” A year later, despite the prevailing conditions in Mogadishu, he established the Faculty of Medicine and Surgery at Banadir University.
