It has a completely different meaning in the north. Something similar to 'uskag' (dirty). Not to be confused with dooro (choose).

I beg to differ saxib. I can't see how the majority of Somalis call a chimney 'saqaf'! :D

Saqaf = Afro comb to me.

 

Edit: Actually just asked my mum apparently it is the word for chimney too.
