Ibtisam Posted January 24, 2010 New audio of Osama bin Laden has surfaced in which he claims responsibility for the failed US plane attack on Christmas Day. Nigerian Umar Farouk Abdul Mutallab has been charged with attempting to blow up a Delta Airlines plane on a flight from Amsterdam on December 25, 2009. The one-time London student was stopped by passengers on board Northwest Flight 253 after the explosives he had stitched into his underwear failed to go off. Mutallab, 23, has denied the charges against him. Early in January Barack Obama said Mutallab had been trained and equipped by the terror group Al Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula, which is based in Yemen. In the new recording obtained by Al Jazeera TV, bin Laden warns Mr Obama that attacks against the US would continue. "The message sent to you with the attempt by the hero Nigerian Umar Farouk Abdul Mutallab is a confirmation of our previous message conveyed by the heroes of September 11," the audio said. "America will never dream of security unless we will have it in reality in Palestine. "God willing, our raids on you will continue as long as your support to the Israelis continue." Speaking not long after the audio was aired, Foreign Secretary David Miliband said it demonstrated the links that were possible between different terrorist groups. "We know that the al Qaeda senior leadership are in the badlands of the Afghan-Pakistan border, probably on the Pakistan side," Mr Miliband told the BBC's Andrew Marr. "The fact that Al Qaeda of the Arabian Peninsula should have tried to strike in Detroit marks a new phase in their campaign." Israeli foreign ministry spokesman Andy David dismissed the audio and its attempt to link Israel with attacks on America. "This is nothing new, he has said this before. Terrorists always look for absurd excuses for their despicable deeds," he said. http://uk.news.yahoo.com/5/20100124/twl-bin-laden-claims-failed-plane-bomb-p-3fd0ae9.html
5 Posted January 24, 2010 This is curious. I sincerely believed that the Christmas failed plane attack was a genuine one and was quite shocked. But whenever Osama Bin Laden comes into the picture, it's guaranteed that the US government has something to do with it. This guy has been on the loose for 7 and a half years, yet manages to push out audios and videotapes on a regular basis like a pop star. Yet the most powerful country in the world is supposedly unable to find him.
Khayr Posted January 25, 2010 "From Osama to Obama...." what a joke! How do you make a statement about a failed attempted? That is dumb move, like pinky and the brain, like scooby doo and shaggy. Its like saying to someone "oh I planned steal your shop but was caught by the police" I guess it is for the masses to swallow and most yankees are dumb azzez. But he will eventually be found dead or alive.
