In the modern world many nations allow dual citizens either through immigration or people dispersed around the world either due to calamities , rampant refugee crises or colonials and empires putting artificial boundaries. WE Somalis fit almost all those categories. Besides, we are talking about leaders born and raised in Somalia. It was the Amisom crowd and Ethiopia of Meles pushing the idea of putting obstacles to the Somali diaspora. Be ware of what you wish Mr. Che. The non tribal Somali youth who were raised in the diaspora will return home in a few years with their know how and education. We want them to be able to retain their dual citizenship. Farmaajo is doing this for his own travel needs in America and should not be a litmus test. Having said that , I might consider one single exception which is the American passport holders.
