Somali PM set to reach Galmudug state capital amid standoff

A high delegation led by Somali Prime Minister, Hassan Ali Kheire is expected to reach in Dhusamareeb town.

According to solid sources, the prime minister will be traveling from Mogadishu in the forthcoming hours.

Prime Minister Kheire has expected hold talks with the leaders of Galmudug state over the upcoming regional elections.

The development comes two days after the Somali government dispatched a delegation led by the country’s interior minister to discuss with the state leaders.

Galmudug state is expected to hold its presidential elections this year though some of its leaders have been lobbying for poll postponement
