Every year, I schedule myself to try to go to the mall on the so-called Boxing Day, and finally see what this commercialism gone mad brouhaha is all about. Finally seeing the ugly face of capitalism, how the unsuspecting masses fight over what they were told are 70% Off!!!

 

Unfortunately [fortunately] and equally, every year, I miss it somehow; sometimes I am shiid oo ka jabantahay (no need to window-shop; I am Faarax after all), sometimes meel aan u socdaa, kasoo socdaa. Today, as usual I missed without shopping a bag of xanjo. Meel aan kasoo socday.

 

So, have the inundation of 80% off!! 90% off!! duped you to shop?

 

I think I should keep my record clean as being the only person I know who never shopped on a Boxing Day.

Miskin, all the brouhaha will come to an end once the credit card bills start rolling in on January.The only time of the year that i do my shopping is the friday after thanksgiving (ok girls,am not that penurious;i do buy some stuff occasionally!).

I always miss it too...xmas holidays are spent in italy and the sale over here is in january, by which time i'm back in the UK and have missed the sleeping on the pavements oxford street shopping

Forget about missing it, I didn't even know it was boxing day! I've found that being in the US is a great way to miss boxing day.

how you lot miss boxing day? I wait a whole year 4 boxing day to come............anyhow.....I spended so much money on clothes and make-up and some more clothes and make up and more make up.......coz simply u just can not wear the clothes u bought on the summer...u ask y.....well....u cant wear pink n baby blue during winter....and the make up.....well my friends i update my makeup every month.....its a must! I went. I shopped. I was convinced I’d made good use. I was convinced I’d scored bargains galore. Now I have succumb to reality. It is all too over-rated and a waste of bloody time.

 

What you want to be on sale is never on sale :mad: . All the items i wanted (mainly shoes and bags) were not on sale. They knew I wanted them but the morons chose to retain those ridiculous prices.
