Look at the progress he's made in just few months. Faroole, the father of "Puntland lagalama tashan" policy is fully behind President Deni. He is technically still has honeymoon political credits. galbeedi Posted June 11, 2019 Suldaanka, One thing that is plausible is that the is the Hagbad is really crowded and for those who had been promised to be their turn will not go down easily including Samatar. Last time when he went to Sool to give few goats, proff. Samater said ," I did so in order to gain the Kulimiye Hagbad he was promised.
Dahireeto Posted June 11, 2019 4 minutes ago, Suldaanka said: @galbeedi That was the mother of all spice ups. So after all, Buurmadaw is a puppet of the UAE?. Love the creativity. Did it ever cross your thoughts that Buurmadaw wants Gudoomiyaha Xisbiga Kulmiye as per the Burco Agreements by the two clans. While President MBC has told close circles that the hagbad is getting more crowded this time. I leave it to you and your 'my sources told me' crew, to digest this further and what who is crowding the hagbad. Besides, the disgruntled clansmen will be dealt with as much as it was dealt with those from Col. Caare. So there you have it, and your sources once again have played you and your naivity or probably creativity. So you confirm there is some issues with Buurmadow and his clansmen are disgruntled? You just confirmed Galbeedi's point one way or the other.
galbeedi Posted June 11, 2019 THis Deni guy is shrewd. The Chinese chose to settle in Puntland. Just like Cali Guray from Hargeisa was saying, " Nin keligii yidhi wax walba anigaa qabanaya, waa nin orgi rartay" that is how Deni described the leadership of Cabdiwli Gaas and those before him trying to do everything. THat is why there is line up in Somali leaders offices since everything is controlled by one man. Will see how he changes things.

You just confirmed Galbeedi's point one way or the other. Galbeedi is way off the mark here. His assertion that Quote " The UAE has more interest in Puntland than Somaliland" and the blabla that he added to justify it, is just laughable and borders insanity. For the record, Puntland is not a chooser, it is very happy whatever the UAE throws on the ground for her. Galbeedi's assertion sounds like Puntland has any choice. Besides, Puntland's President went to UAE on Daallo Airlines. Whereas President MBC was given a private jet. Btw, the Buurmadaw issue has been bubbling for quiet sometime, it is not something new or that happened after the last visit to UAE. It squarely revolves around the Chairman position of Kulmiye Party.

SeaFaringSomali Posted June 11, 2019 3 hours ago, Amigos said: Another lie. Deni did not meet "some of the highest officials of the Emirates", he met a low-level bureaucrat, namely the Deputy Director-General of the Abudhabi Chamber of commerce: Worthy of note is that the only reason Deni got this meeting was because he lied and said that there is a possibility of Puntland investing in.. wait for it.. Abudhabi! Dont take my word for it, here is the official Emirates News Agency news item: Meanwhile Biixi met... Try to invent better "sources" next time "Meanwhile Biixi met...." That picture with the deputy PM was taken during his "state visit" in March of 2018, during the height of the diplomatic dispute between the Somalia and the UAE; giving extensive media coverage to a visit which was nothing more than a photo op. They rolled out the carpet to Governor Biixi to spite the SFG. Check the date listed under the headline! His last visit wasn't covered in any of the Emirati state owned news sites.
galbeedi Posted June 11, 2019 Suldaanka, These kids had mastered misinformation and misleading people. They are experts in the arts of misleading pictures. They will never show you an audio or live microphone. Also, they say, liars use statistics to lie. These pictures were in May 2018. Of course they sent a jet to pick him up and pampered him, yet in return he didn't get much. Sacad Shire the finance minister said, they pay 5 million a year for the port and the 2018 money were already taken by Siilaanyo . The last visit doesn't have any pictures at all, nor any press release from the UAE. Here is an article in April 2019 after his visit of UAE. Suldaanka Posted June 12, 2019 Galbeedi, There two trips to UAE this year, 2019, one in March and one in April. The one in April is widely reported as one that was secretly held in Abu Dhabi to broker a meeting between Pres. MBC and Deni. Somaliland's FM denied this meeting to have taken place. But one thing I can confirm is that, Deni arrived in Dubai on Daallo Airlines. And delayed his depature to Nairobi until President MBC left Hargeisa on a Private jet from Abu Dhabi ruler. Shortly after, both Pres. MBC and Deni departed from UAE, one going to Nairobi and the other returning to Hargeisa. The one in March was an official visit by President MBC to Abu Dhabi. The one in March

Old_Observer Posted June 14, 2019 Both Puntland and Somaliland have pros and cons for any foreign power and also depending on the seasons. Generally: Puntland has piece of Red Sea and Indian Ocean Somaliland has better piece of red sea and is open space to Indian ocean Puntland has access to be power in Mugadishu as well as in Garowe Somaliland is only in Hargiesa Both Somaliland and Puntland have similar diaspora power (lobby, information, business..) Neighboring countries see them the same, people and government wise. Djibouti does not want to choose between the two Ethiopia does not want to choose between the two Nobody wants Somaliland and Puntland to fight each other. Would bring quick end to Somalia dream of recovery and is very bad for business. China has always preferred Puntland, because Somaliland can easily get close to Britain and also is competition to Djibouti. Please do not compete for Bedewin temporary Arabs seeming power. Both are also very matured and civilized. Look how Somaliland handles Djibouti, Ethiopia..very dnagerous countries of dictatorships. Look how Puntland also handles Hargiesa and Mugadishu as well as Ethiopia a lot of balancing and juggling act. So far so good.
