Most of them have been sent to Somalia in the 19th century by "wretched" Zanzibarian Arab slave traders.

With the exception of one article ive mostly heard good things about them i know that anii dadka somaalida cunsurii ku ahaanigireyn and that the lived in the Jubba and Shabelle rivers. Theres like a couple of hundred thousand in Somalia left (3000,000 - 400,000). Many have been taking back to Tanzania and extriated to the U.s. I notice that those who have been Somalized tend to know the Somali culture much better than the average Somali.

 

You can see how shes embraces Michelle Obama; the average Somali woman would be too proud or upstruck to do that.

 

p.s. Is it me or do Somali Jareers look more Somali than other non - Cushitic Africans; that woman has the fat cheaks and motherly look. I dont know why but i think its either the clothes or contact with Somali Rahanweynn people.
