Saalax Posted May 17, 2019 Somaliland region: Reports Of Police Officer Killed In Las Anod 7:26 am 17th May, 2019 Reports are coming in of the killing of one police officer and the wounding of another at the RRU barracks in Las Anod. The killing occurred after an exchange of gunfire in the compound between members of the Somaliland Police Force’s anti-riot squad, the RRU. Unconfirmed reports suggest that the one fatality and the wounded officer came from the same community, and the attack appears to be a retaliation for the killing of two other Somaliland officers near the town of Garadag earlier this month. Neither the Somaliland Police Force nor the ministry of the Home Affairs have yet to comment on the situation. Somaliland will be celebrating it’s 28th anniversary of the reclamation of sovereignty on the 18th of a May, with dignitaries from several foreign nations attending the celebrations. galbeedi Posted May 18, 2019 The only law and order that exist in Somaliland is s the one among the people.The police usually arrests those who commit useless crimes like wearing a hat of Somali flag or raiding the homes of people who disparaged the dear leader. There are so many murders in a day light and the culprits are rooming in the countryside. In Sanaag dozens of people are murdered last year and no one arrested them. There are no real police who will go after real crimes, as usual they chase the poor and the weak. If the tribes abandon the goodwill to keep the peace , then may God help us, because the police are incapable of resolving crime or going after real criminals. Galbeedi, I bet you that it didn't cross your mind that the same Goodwill could be true for any country in the world, including your adapted country of Canada. The people are the foundations of stability of all countries. And Somaliland is no exception. Somaliland's people and their gov't are like right and left hand.
