galbeedi Posted May 12, 2019 Xaaf wants three years extended to his term because he made a deal with Ehlu Shaytaan group, and these Madoobe guy reminds me of the world lords of yesteryears making useless excuses. Can you imagine Madoobe want to dictate to the government while refusing to hold free election. Let them go to Nairobi and complain.Next time wasiirka federaalka waa in ay la fadhiistaan. Peace Action Posted May 12, 2019 Xaaf and Madoobe should realize that Somalis prefer their leaders to stay for only one term and there is should never be extension. Otherwise there may be civil war. It is shameful that these two leaders should be the cause of the collapse of the Growe meeting. Instead of trying to come to consensus on outstanding issues between the Federal government and regional administrations, they disrespected the president, the prime minister and other regional administration leaders and left the meeting prematurely for personal reasons. SeaFaringSomali Posted May 12, 2019 Why is Yariisow at the round table taking part of discussions, is the mayorship position of Mogadishu equivalent to a regional head of state?

Well the capital has special status and in some cases is equal to states. Its the same in Ethiopia. In some cases the city is considered a state. Why did Farmaajo chose to provoke them at this particular time? Its not possible to have peace and order by choosing, this or that foreign influence. What is the point supporting one UAE side against another QATAR side, if at the end of the day the fight is not what is good for the country, but who makes best to ally with among foreigners. He is the mayor but also the governor of benadir with million residents. He has more right to sit there than Madoobe and Xaf.
Tillamook Posted May 14, 2019 President Deni discusses some of the contentious issues at the Garoowe meeting between the Federal Government and the Federal Member States:
galbeedi Posted May 14, 2019 After all, this Cabdulaahi Deni guy isn't that bad. He seem to be a reasonable guy with measured and well balanced speech. He is definitely someone this Farmaajo government and future governments could work with. Totally different the old guards of Puntalnd leaders we used to see. Dahireeto Posted May 14, 2019 If Deni helps Puntland recover from years of corruption, the money he spent buying the election becomes Sadaqa Ilaahay, sort of.

He might improve a bit, and that in itself is good, but to make drastic changes, he needed more than the power of money. The power of money has brought him this far, from here on its alliances time. When ever there is alliances, ones ideals get corrupted a little bit. But it looks like he may achieve peace with all neighbors which is good thing for investment and development.
