Somaliland: Four Men Blow Themselves Up In Tog-Wajale

Wajaale,(Qaran news)-Reports are coming in from the Somaliland border town of Tog-Wajale that four men believed to be from Somalia blew themselves up in a house whilst working on a device. There has been no official statement from the Somaliland government or the Somaliland Police Force.

However reliable sources, including members of the Gabiley regional council have stated that the four men, two whom were injured in the blast and another two were detained and then transferred to the capital, Hargeisa. Reports also indicate that the Somaliland Police are searching for further suspects.

Tog-Wajale is on the Somaliland-Ethiopian border, and is busy trade hub. All indications are the suspects came from Mogadishu and recently rented a house in Tog-Wajale. The owners of the rental home have also been detained for questioning. There are no reports of any other casualties and the blast appears to have been rudimentary in nature.

Nevertheless, Somaliland is preparing for the Holy Month of Ramadan and the celebration of the 28th anniversary of the restoration of independence on the 18th of May.

Somaliland authorities have called for all citizens to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activities.
