Galmudug state forces seize illegal arms in central Somalia

The security forces of Somalia’s central Federal state of Galmudug have succeeded to seize illegal weapons in a lorry truck near the town of Dhusamareb on Saturday.

The local officials say several suspects were arrested in connection with the arms as an investigation is still underway for find out the destination and the owners.

This is the latest in an attempt to prevent illegal weapons being smuggled into the Galmudug controlled areas in central Somalia.
