Somaliland: Reliable Sources, Secret Meeting Between President Muse Bihi & Puntland Leader Deni in Dubai.

According to reliable sources, the President of Somaliland, Muse Bihi Abdi, who is currently on a brief visit to the United Arab Emirates has held a closely guarded meeting with the leader of the Puntland administration of Somalia, Saeed Abdhullahi Mohamed “Deni”

Our sources confirm that the meeting took place in Dubai, UAE, on Friday night and was closed to the media. In fact, neither side, Somaliland or Puntland were pleased to learn about leak on the meeting.

The Republic Somaliland and the administration region of Puntland have had serious political difference over the past 20 years, since Puntland was created in 1998. There have been a few border wars and skirmishes, resulting in strained relations.

However, with the appointment of the new Puntland leader, Saeed Abdillahi Deni, it is hoped that a new chapter in relations can begin. It is also worth noting, that both Somaliland and Puntland have strong ties with the United Arab Emirates, both commercially and politically.

If, the meeting between President Muse Bihi Abdi and his counterpart, Saeed Abdullahi Deni in Dubai, is confirmed, it will be a political bombshell in the region, in particular, to the federal entity in Mogadishu.
