Deeq A. Posted April 19, 2019 Eritrea has deployed troops to along the border area with Sudan whose long time leader, al-Bashir, was deposed in a military coup and subsequently arrested, according to Eritrean Press(EP) report on Thursday. The source also added that Eritrea has denied entry for non-Eritreans along the Omhajer-Humera border crossings which was opened this year. It is unclear why Eritrea is now closing its door but EP reported that the restrictions are only from the Eritrean side which means that Eritreans entry to Ethiopia is not restricted by the Ethiopian government. Ethiopia and Eritrea are expected to sign a comprehensive agreement in a range of areas. Ethiopian state media outlets did not report about the recent development along Omhajer-Humera border at this writing. Source borkena Qaran News
