Somaliland: Waddani “Adminstration Has Failed To Deal With Inflation”

Hargeisa, (Qaran news)-The Waddani party’s spokesperson, Barkhad Jama Batun, has severely criticized the administration of President Muse Bihi of being unable to deal with the rampant inflation in the country, the continuing decline in the value of the Somaliland shilling and the brazen profiteering of Somaliland’s commercial market.

Barkhad Jama Batun stated in his statement, the administration has failed to address the hurdles hindering the holding of parliamentary and local elections in Somaliland and declared that “Kulmiye doesn’t want to see elections in Somaliland, because it knows it will lose control of the House of Representatives, and all the local councils”

According the Waddani party spokesperson, Barkhad Jama Batun, “my party will never accept the conducting of any elections by the National Elections Commission (NEC), as it is currently constituted. Their mandate expires before December, 2019, their malfeasance in the 2017 presidential elections is well documented, so we will not have that happen again”.

Finally, the Waddani spokesperson accused the President of being “busy with litigation about land, farms and other personal assets” rather than governing the country and recognizing that for “good or bad, he is the President of the country and not a “dilaal” engaged in business deals”.
