shyhem Posted April 4, 2003 RAMPAGE Timz are my favourite shoes and i'm currently wearing one as i type this shi-t.check them out on the net.I like them coz they're comfortable, both on the winter and summer........... not to mention as urban as anything u can get on the market. However i'm not a big fan of dem labels, especially if the price is not right. What the lady said is somehow true but the only part i can follow is the versace product, thanks to God i'm too poor to go near anywhere a gayman's product. pimpstress Posted April 5, 2003 I understand where u're coming from, i know about the Hilfiger insident and i resently heard about the Timberland story about how the owner is a member of the KKK. To tell u the truth i wear both Hilfiger and Timberland even though i tried to stop. The whole Versace thing i don't care if u're guy because unless u're not informed u sould have know that more than half the male designers are guy and people still floss around their clothes. Where i'm going with this is that people are aware of the issues but they aren't doing anything about it, i respect u for informing people but i hate to say this but people sometimes want to be ignorant about some issues and i'm ahsamed to say this but i'm one of those people. Sometime its easier to act uninformed because u won't feel obligated to do something about it.

LadyMo Posted April 8, 2003 Xafsa I agree at de end of de day I wasnt oppressed and neither were my people! I mite hav experienced racism but dat has made me wat I am today a level headed, determined young lady who strives for wat she believes in! Black, white, yellow or red doesnt matter! Colour is on de outside its wats on de inside dat counts. Religion comes in all colours so if there was an Muslim designer out there and I liked his/her gear I'd get it just like I'd get it if it was a Christian designer. As long as I like it and I've got de money wat shud stop me? At de end of de day we live in a world were Jews own practically everythin from clothes to public transport and from food outlets to nuclear weapons. Captivating_SouL Posted April 8, 2003 I'm a great fan of Maya Angelou, walaahi that spreads enuff wisdom that we're not even comprehending na'mean. Slavery and racism existed thru the great dawn of time and still continue...but yeah i agree w/ you exdane...it really doesnt matter the race nor the relgion or the status of the designer as long as they are spillin out tight ish. And you gotta also reason w/ ya self too...what are the chances that you are gonna see a muslim designer? Well i'm sure there is a great majority among us but are they noticable and or near where we can purchase em? I guess for all of you that are against it, like Shytem...start wearing maxamuuse and dirac's ... but i admire her intakes on certains..but this i'm have to far track before i can reach where she's coming from....but by far "ALWAYS HOPE FOR THE BEST AND PREPARE FOR THE WORST ...GREAT QUOTE !
