Somalia’s minister of constitution dies at Dubai hospital

Abdi Hash Jibril, Somalia’s Minister for Constitutional affairs has died in Dubai, the United Arab Emirates [UAE] on Friday after a short illness, the government has confirmed.

The Minister died at a hospital a few hours after he was admitted for a check-up.

The director of the ministry, Mohamed Abukar Zubeyr confirmed the news in a statement he published on his Facebook page.

The late minister held the post two times, both under the former transitional government led by President Sharif Sheikh Ahmed and in the current government formed in 2017.
