I tend to go off all delicacies after the first week. Then its just timir, water and soup followed by a proper meal after taraawiix.

Ciyaal kuni kuni meet Mandhaasi!

Haatu, kaakac wax ladhoho majiro, waa kackac! Mind telling me how the hell do you eat kackac, oodkac and malawax together? Najeynaa!

Intiina kale sheemo inuu sujui afSoomaali idinka badiyo maanta! redface.gif

Bur = Flour, laakiin markii ladhoho bur iyo sambuus it is meant bur saliid iyo sambuus, not flour and sambuus...

So kuni means fire wood, hmmmm! I guess the saying 'ciyaal kuni kuni, kuleel lagu dhalay' now kinda makes sense...Thnx Malika!

Haatu

KK usheeg badow yaashan luuqadooda aa aqoon :D

Kaakac (how I pronounce it) with malawax and odkac is nice. You mix the oily odkac with the kaakac and eat them both with malawax.

Malika, it's swahili? I thought it was a Somali word.

LOL@ Hatu and Norf.

Norf the one you posted, the mix is similar to the pancake mixture but with yeast. So the mixture tend to be soft/runny..one can make sugar syrup coating and roll the bur in it- to make what we call Kalmati.

The other one KK posted the picture is made as a dough - with yeast, eggs, sugar,a drop of vanilla essence[or heyl],then cut into small/big shapes.

I hope I made sense..lol
