Deeq A. Posted February 18, 2019 The U.S. Africa command [AFRICOM] has rejected claims by Al-Shabaab that it killed three American soldiers in an attack on a military base in Somalia. In a statement, AFRICOM All U.S. military personnel accounted for after the mortar raid launched against Balli-Doogle airbase this week by militants. The denial comes as the U.S. military ramps up air campaign in Somalia targeting the Al-Qaeda-linked Al-Shabaab and ISIL faction in the country. Trump has authorized a broader operations in Somalia in 2017 shortly after taking the office, in an attempt to degrade the terrorist threats in the country.
