Puntland now is the center of the planet (Horn of Africa planet). Some are charming it some will threaten it, others will attack it. Its the Tigray of Somalia or the other way round Tigray is the Puntland of Ethiopia. Puntland does not need to go to Mogadishu to play key role in Somalia.

Its to be expected the British, Turkish, Qatar, UAE, Kenya, Uganda, Ethiopia and Djibouti will all visit Puntland. Somaliland, Kililka for sure have already set up channels of communication. Kililka might even want Puntland to help solve the crisis between the Oromo allied/appointed current govt and the Tigray allied past govt of Kililka.

Shabab will be a tool used by some Horn governments who have no place or role in Puntland, but would kill to have some role there.

Internally Puntland is critical of what happens in Jubaland, SW and even HirShebelle as things have already heated up in earnest related to AMISOM.

Externally Puntland for sure will side with Djibouti rather than Eritrea. Which means Farmaajo will be in conflict with Puntland in so many ways and levels sooner than expected. Turkish may also openly give up on Farmmajo and start activities in Puntland both investments and other activities.

Puntland has no business in Kililka and Oromo issues. Om the other hand , you could do well in promotion and advertising department.

The UAE isn't as strong they project at the moment. They are under investigation in Washington and in Europe.

When I was there in last December, their  real state was at bottom level and their stock market had the worst year since 2008.

Their hotels were at discount level. Four or five hotels that were costing $250 dollar or more were discounted at hundred dollar Canadian or less. The Muslim main street is voting with their feet and wallet. People in the gulf itself are buying property in Turkey and others are staying away from the gulf. They are subsidizing almost everything , but at the end the cash might disappear.

They are holding Boosaaso and Berbera to keep others away for the next few years . 

One thing that I might agree with you is that this murder could be politically or economically motivated and the so called Al-shbaab is probably nothing more than a hired killer.

This could be a test by AlShabaab on the new administration of Deni. The young man who did the killing is only 20 years old also died later after being shot by port security.  Puntland needs to come with new strategy to deter young men from being brain washed by the militant khawarij alshabaab.

Alshabab has a very strong presense in Bosaso. It is an open secret that they collect tax from businesses for guarantee of their security and assets. 

Today the Spokeman for Alshabab said that they carried out the murder because the P&O Ports was having a negative affects on Business community in Bosaso. 

Could this be the Business Community in Bosaso getting something for their tax payments?

I have watched the video of shabaab killer before he died he said he was in boosaaso only for two days and he was sent from baydhabo,

Shabaab wants to create mistrust between qabaailada why would they sent someone all the from baydhabo to make this killing while the can find a local person to do this killing.

South West community needs to work with Puntland government to stop Alshabab attacks. It is open secret that nearly all Alsahbab operatives in Puntland are from the South West.  It is time to end this crazy attacks.

I did not see that video. 

If that is the case, then Al-shabaab is targeting Mr. Deni and Puntland again. The South West boys are now probably the majority of the foot soldiers of Al-shabaab.

The ideological leaders of Al-shabaab are mostly D block and Dir (mostly northern D...r), the financiers are mainly HAG and foot soldiers are mainly South West. The Al-shabaab INc. company is an equal opportunity company that mostly hires those who are disadvantaged in the corrupt Somali system.

Insiders are always telling us that joining Al-shabaab is a big step for young unemployed boys. Villages and towns like them in different ways.As soon as they take over  a town they quickly marry all the available bachelorettes of the town. The boys next door or those who supposed to marry these girls are probably chewing Qat. So, the whole town would be in wedding mood as soon as these insurgents show up.

The father in law and the family usually appreciates these young men who are marrying these girls who were waiting for real men for years. Also, those who are poor or hailed from families that  the Somali Geeljire looks down would marry the girl and take care of business. They also  get paid on time always.

Kuwana waxay i dhaheen reer hebel gabadhan ma guursan karaan, Al-shabaabna waxay igu dareen gabar, ka dibna coomander way iga dhigeen. If some of the guys dies in these battles , the next guy will marry and take care of the family. In Al-shabaab controlled territory there are no single, widowed or divorced women.

Do you think a corrupt Somali soldier who steals and takes bribes would defeat these guys?. The most successful force that eliminated Al-shabaab were the PIS commanded by a man called general Dayaano who was proactive because his men were paid well.

Then again why send someone all the way from Bay? is Roobow in action?

Actually if you are going to do something like this, assassination, its the right way to do it.

If Shabab uses a Puntlander then they will have created conflict and revenge of families in an area they look forward to operate for a long time.

Where as if Shabab uses from other areas there is nothing the families of the victim or the government of Puntland can do any further.
