Recommended Posts

Former presidents, regional leaders, federal MPs  Senate Leadership, and President Farmaajo all expected to come Garowe.

It's not clear if the Speaker is coming.

Another costly show for our Garoowe people. Last time they invited Farmaajo for tour,  it was colorful but few months later Gaas created Isbaahaysiga maamul goboleedyada and got zero rewards back. Is there any benefit for Garoowe to invite all these people and pay for it?. In short time  it will benefit Farmaajo because of his present. The only way Deni will get benefit is, if he is planning to run  for 2020. Or maybe Puntland is working to get the future PM, assuming there is something punt land wants to get back here. It can not be money.

It's a waste of resources indeed.

Not really. The benefit is that most of the Somali leaders would be together this day and hopefully they will realize working together for the well being of the nation is much better than silly squabbles.

I don't see that happening but we can hope.

PeaceAction,

This meeting isn't intended to bring anyone closer.

Mr. Deni is preparing for the next election. He got the three main factions of the opposition in one room. He want to be the next prime minister.

He is amusing that the next leader is coming from Unaka. If those of us from the other side of coin (The northern unionists) come to power neither of these groups will get nothing. They would be the swamp that must be cleared.

Marna Sheekh Shariif , marna Sheikh Hassan inta kale ma rootibaa.

A failed state wasting money it doesn't have.

Holac, indeed waa indha adeyg; why would  a failed “DEAD”state be wasting monies on all these high flying politicians, state and national leaders and foreign dignitaries.

I say, what could they possibly hope to gain from it? Or worse still, what could these very same high flying political figures from around the country hope to benefit from ingratiating themselves to such a morbid corpse by attending the inauguration of Mr Deni? ...tsk tsk tsk 😁

Let's just all hope that decency and “xishood” will continue to prevail ...lol

Galbeedi, is this news of yours from the usual Somali rumor mills or from the salacious grapevine of your risible  “secret sources”?😁

Also I couldn’t but help laugh at your other comical remarks when you said” those of us from the other side of coin (The northern unionists) come to power neither of these groups will get nothing. They would be the swamp that must be cleared.”  I guess....😂

Oh boy, our friend Oodweyne and others used to say Galbeedi’s imaginary sources, and now Tilamook has joined to the chants.

Any how,  this doesn’t need a source. Why would this Demi guy spend five million dollars to manage a 100 million economy. We know other than the business oligarchs and  the gulf money , no Somali can spare five million. It is a down payment for something bigger.

Since he has the power to select up 38 members of the federal parliament from Puntland,  he might run as a president first in 2020 and if he fails , he will make a deal to be prime minster.

Damujadiid and Demi might be planing their future from Puntland. Puntland is going to be the headquarters of the opposition, even the Galmudug rivals have been accommodated in order to increase the blow against Farmaajo. By the  way, where do these Reer bari get these strange names like : Demi, Dayaano and Galan?.

Tilamook,

Don’t laugh the idea of a northern person seeking the highest office of the land. Hassan Sheikh was Unknown teacher in Mogadishu before he got elected and our friend Farmaajo was in Buffalo before he swam under the water. Yet, the main issue isn’t about becoming a president. It is about having a plan. If you don’t have a plan  what is the use of just being called president and hiding inside the Ugandan tank. If you don’t have a plan like these men, you will be running around like a chicken and fly around foreign capitals or even try to sleep at night at the military headquarters to lead operators. You might inspect the fake army assembled in these camps and so on.

Having a plan means you will not leave the mess to the next president, you will deal with it and break things to be fixed. Real leaders confront tough decisions and do not keep the status quo. So do not discount us . We even have a couple of dozen members of parliament like anybody else.

Galbeedi, Tillamook is a reasonable guy. This time he's fallen for the bait. Not good.

Anyways, Deni is spending heavy here to legitimize himself after buying the election with 30 million dollars financed partially by Damjadiid bankrollers. I can assure you that he will get his money back, including the money he is spending today to charter fly all the unscrupulous characters from their bunkers, by taxing the hell out of old ladies selling candy in Bosaso markets.

It is amazing how Puntland has fallen on hard times.

Galbeedi,

As always, when called out on your baseless commentary, you tend to get too defensive and run around the place like a headless chicken.

Saaxiib, there is nothing strange or unusual about today's inauguration in Puntland. It is no different from any of the previous inaugurations of Puntland's former presidents, only the office holders in attendance might have changed.

Need I remind you the saying: "Puntland waa hooyada federalismka Somaaliya". Therefore,  if today all of Puntland's federal children (so to speak) have come home to their political mother to pay respectful homage and tribute; and seek guidance or support for their political ambitions or differences, then why saaxiib would you wanna hate on this glorious display of Puntland's  importance and value in Somali affairs?

Galbeedi, walaal, don't hate. Allow Puntland and Puntlanders to enjoy their hard worn glories and prestige in Somali affairs. For fcuks sake, where the hell were you when Puntlanders were sweeping away all the riffraff from Villa Somalia and laying the solid foundations of the federalism and freedoms that all Somalis enjoy today? I'm sure like most of today's detractors xaarkaaga ayaad walaaqanaysey.

P.S

You need to educate yourself on the uses and importance of nicknames in Somali culture.

Cheese is on the menu, the unfortunate guy is oblivious.

Somali leaders, especially Mudane Farmajo need to quickly understand that it is futile to seek a second term in a country where there is a lot of political mistrust. If I were them I would concentrate on leaving behind a good legacy that all Somalis will forever appreciate-- and work towards stabilizing and strengthening the institutions of the Federal government.

It is futile, not to complete the work on the federal constitution just to ensure a little leeway here or there to pull political gimmickry whenever the next election comes like Culusow attempted. Damjadiid blocked the work on the constitution from going ahead, instead they thought their insistence on 4.5  would get them re-elected. It did not.

Now, the same goes for Farmaajo.  It is futile to resist building the constitutional courts correctly, and finishing the federal constitution all in the hopes of a second term. All the money in the world from Gulf countries will not get a 2nd term for Farmaajo&CO.

All current one term leaders must understand this, unless they wish to continue conflict and civil strife in Somalia.
