Philapino? They can only cook rice saxib. No pasta and deff no sambuusa. Thats why your gaining weight all you eating is rice! Odayaasha Somalida miyaanad arkin? Colool bariis is what I call it. You need to varify saxib and do some sports to keep in shape. Sida carabta iska fadi iyo wax cun oo sheekee ha noqon!

ps get an Indonesian or Sri Lankan. Kalay arag cuntaday kariyaan

North, I do hope ex-UK residents of the UAE do not indulge in the maid culture, unless they really need the help, e.g 7 kids under the age of 7?

Back to the topic, reading with meaning is the key to reading Quran. Most of us had been taught Quran without understanding its meanings, the Quraan has a wealth of information and guidance.

This surah is one of my fav,I quote it alot and do hope I live by its wisedom:

al-'Asr

In the name of God, Most Gracious, Most Merciful

By (the Token of) Time (through the ages),

Verily Man is in loss,

Except such as have Faith, and do righteous deeds,

and (join together) in the mutual teaching of Truth,

and of Patience and Constancy.

Subhanallah!

Isnt that the whole truth and nothing but the truth! Time!awaits no man, better do the savings now for the here after, and yet live for the moment too..

^^And had AllAh revealed only this surah as the sole guidance to man, it would've been enough for it succinctly sums up both the means and the objectives in achieving success in here and after! Or so said some of the most respected scholars of Islam.

Here are the main survival kit suratul Asr provides (1) knowledge of Allah (2) hard work based on that knowledge and with good intentions (3) collaboration with each other in achieving worldly and divine objectives. (4) Perseverance and resolve on attaining these goals.

When one deviates from these instructions, one will certainly be lost in the endless gloom of chasing unsuccessful life. That, to put it mildly, is the peril against which suratul Asr warns…

Where's Lilly? I'm here to report back from my Sareen experience.

I was told it takes long 7 hours or so to cook. I let it cook for an hour and half and it was already over cooked, tasted and looked terrible. I didn't like the texture aswell [it was so bushuq-bushuq sooo dhareerish] that I never wanted to eat it. But my pride wouldn't let me walk away from my own food that I prepared, put effort and time since the Mr. refused to eat it and went to bed hungry. So inorder aan jacda iska fujiyo I ate it and ate it like maxaa kaa galay, waa isku guray [with my eyes shut ofcourse] and lets just say this morning my stomach is not only walking, but running. LOL.

Terrible, terrible experience. It was so bad.

I do not like sareen. However digir with bariis or galley with spot of macsaro and qaado sonkor is absolutely divine.

Nephthys, that sounds absolutley terrible and how on earth can you wait an hour and a half for something to cook that's not even die-hard delicious? I salute you for your bravery though, eating it even though you knew it would be disgusting. Total Naagnimo in the face of the Mr.

Any chance this Sareen stuff is Soor with a fancier name? I think I'll stick to my simple meals!

Maharago [Faarax Brown, correct waxa sida loo dhaho ma helee] is digir on steroids. Soor on the other hand waa gallay la shiiday ama la tumay.

You too dropped the ball yaa D&D!

When i was in utango (remember anyone), the kikuyus used to call soor mahrago. Therefore, it is their fault for misinforming me.

At least now sijui folks wont look at me funny when I call soor mahrago.

Anyone likes filfiliir?

15 days have already gone, in the last 15days you should put in extra effort in your ceebaadh.

And don't forget to pay your fitrah on time.
