Fabregas Posted April 11, 2008 It means being broke. For example, when farax has only two cigarettes left and has to ask his friend to buy him khat, and he only has one coke( which he has 2 drink slowly). Then he Says: "Busaarad baa ihaysa" . In this context, I'm referring to the serious matter of the recession and the inflation, food shortage, etc that are occuring right now!
Nephissa Posted April 11, 2008 I used to wonder why they liked to punch a small whole in the bottle cap [imbili], ilaa busarad baa haysay..wanting the drink to pour s--l--o--w--l--y, masaakiin!. In Af-Somali laakin, is the word used only in khat situations? Feeding your lazy freind because he smoked all his pot, and doesn't have any money for khaat? I was at a zab maalin hore, and it really abhors me sometimes to see what people consider garbage, or inedible. I don't think people realize how good they got it in this country. Like, if I was a cow, I'd be kind of pissed if I knew that my ribs got thrown away, becaus because the cook didn't 'foornee' them right or the islaan doesn't have ilko to chew...
