Dabrow Posted January 13, 2019 One of the problerm with Federalism in Somalia have been the implementations. Also it creates alot of confusion regarding the states and their roles. As seen with federal states cutting ties with the Goverment of Somalia. Federalism have been from the start a concept promoted by Ethiopia and with vast lands and different ethnic makeup its a system that makes more sense there than in Somalia. I believe that Somalis should have a say in what system governs the country. Its not a decision few odaayals pushed by IGAD can take for themselves. A referendum on Federalism should be held in the future.

You should first implement centralization in Gedo and bring it under the aegis of Villa Somalia, whilst the rest of the country continue to march on the Federal path. Markaad ku caano maashid bal nala soo socodsii, kapiche. Let’s hope you don’t sing a different tune once Farmaajo leaves Villa Somalia.

Its not wrong asking the opinion of Somali people on this issue since its a system that will govern their country. If Somali people wants Federalism they will vote for it. A vote should happen when the country is liberated and safe enough for it.

For ever since the days of the TFG the objective was and still is to ratify the Federal constitution and bring it to a national vote. But then again Farmajo& Co are busy wasting the Somali people’s time and doing everything in their power to prevent the nation from ever holding this vote.
