grasshopper Posted October 29, 2009 cool article. (I've been to that hospital to visit my cousin's wife after she delivered a baby) Using the women’s success as evidence, the book argues a simple point: if you want change for the better in developing countries, invest in women. Hello....invest in men too!! what's the point of empowering only half the population? If you ask me, empowering women and opening up all these new ideas to them is just going to make things worse for them if men aren't empowered to change some of their ways of thinking. hodman Posted November 3, 2009 Powerful stuff. I visited Edna's hospital in Hargeisa and thought it was great. Women all over the world are facing significant obstacles and it is wonderful to see the few who are able to turn adversity into triumph. Grasshopper it is easier to empower women than to have men change their views!
