Puntland picks new 66-member parliament

Puntland vetting committee has announced the list of the new parliament on Monday afternoon.

More than 40 of the parliament are fresh, mostly young, according to the released list.

Only one member in the parliament is female.

The members of the new parliament will elect a new speaker and next president in early January, as scheduled.

This is the fifth parliament of Puntland selected by clan leaders since its establishment in 1998.
